Meet Megan
Choosing the right speech therapist is important. More than anything, it should be based on trust, connection, and feeling confident that your child is truly safe and supported.
Megan is a licensed speech-language pathologist and the owner of 143 Speech Therapy. Her work is guided by striving for clinical excellence and a deeply personal mission: to carry forward the heart of Mister Rogers’ teachings. In doing so, she created a space where children and families feel peace, love, and a genuine sense of belonging.
Therapy here is not rushed, rigid, or impersonal. Every child is met with kindness, respect, and patience. We believe meaningful progress happens when children feel emotionally secure, understood, and encouraged to be exactly who they are while they grow.
Megan’s approach blends evidence-based therapy with calm, nurturing support. Sessions are designed to build communication skills, confidence, and emotional regulation. By doing so, it helps children not only improve their speech and language, but also feel empowered, capable, and proud.
As both a clinician and a parent, Megan understand how important it is to find a provider who truly cares. Our goal is for families to leave sessions feeling hopeful, supported, and confident about the path ahead.
Outside of work, Megan can be found in the woods or a local creek with her son, thrifting with her sisters, or working on training her therapy dog, Mabel.

Therapy DogMeet Mabel
Mabel is our 1.5-year-old therapy dog in training and the unofficial emotional support coordinator of the clinic. She is currently working hard toward her therapy dog certification, although she already considers herself highly qualified in the areas of treat detection, belly scratch supervision, and making children laugh.
Mabel’s favorite command is “speak,” mostly because it allows her to bark on purpose while the kids cheer her on. She is also known for enthusiastically offering kisses (when invited), staring longingly to see if we actually want her to “sit”, and carefully monitoring snack-related activity throughout the clinic.
Mabel came to us from Minnesota, where she was lovingly gifted to the clinic by a man honoring a promise he made to his wife, Kathy, before she passed—that the puppies would find good homes. We like to think Mabel carries a little piece of Kathy’s kindness and joy with her everywhere she goes.
When she’s not “helping” during sessions, Mabel enjoys treats of all kinds, squeaky toys, making new friends, and reminding everyone that connection sometimes starts with a wagging tail.
